Help us become a culturally safe place for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, carers and visitors in public health care.

We are seeking expressions of interest from Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander patients, carers, consumers and community representatives who are keen to help influence health care services to become a culturally safe places for all who use and visit our services.

We need local people who are passionate about health and hospital services in the Central Queensland region.

Our health consumer representatives support public healthcare services, giving advice on consumer needs and perspectives, advocating for patients and consumers of healthcare.

Topics of discussion include:

  • culturally safe and appropriate care in the right place at the right time
  • develop, plan and implement health programs
  • help us to review our services and make improvements

People with different backgrounds, ages and lived experiences are encouraged to apply.

Meetings are held monthly, in person or online, for one to two hours.

There are several positions available across Central Queensland with payment available to successful applicants. Please read the role description before applying.
