Decking the wards with Christmas cheer

Gladstone Hospital Medical Records department is the winner of the 2024 Deck the Ward competition.

Teams across Central Queensland Health have given the wards a makeover to spread joy and cheer this festive season.

It's all part of the hotly contested Deck the Wards Christmas competition.

First place was awarded to Gladstone Hospital Medical Records team who have combined all the best parts of Christmas and Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory for their 'Merry Wonka Christmas' display.

Second place was awarded to the North Rockhampton Nursing Centre’s use of multiple themes across all areas, including an outback Christmas and 1950s-style rock and roll diner. (Picture below)
