Emerald ED entry changes for construction

Read time

Works are progressing on Emerald Hospital Emergency Department’s $10 million expansion, which is due for completion in November 2023.

As part of the construction project, for the next five weeks there will be a change to the Emergency Department entrance for patients walking in. During this time, entry will be through the front reception of the hospital. Updated wayfinding signage will help with directions for patients, families, and visitors during this period.

Ambulance entry will remain unchanged.

This project is part of the Community Health and Hospitals Program, being delivered in partnership with the Australian Government.

It will improve patient journeys and give people better access to care closer to home.
