The Emerald Hospital Consumer Advisory Group are looking for new members.
They need local people who are passionate about health and hospital services in the Central Highlands region.
This consumer group supports Central Highland public healthcare services, giving advice on consumer needs and perspectives, advocating for patients and consumers of healthcare.
Topics of discussion include:
- design care
- plan services
- develop and implement health programs
- undertake service measurement and evaluation
Expression of interest is now open to all patients, carers, families, clients, and community members, in the Central Highlands region.
People with different backgrounds and experience are encouraged to apply, including those who identify with one or more of the following groups:
- Aboriginal peoples and Torres Strait Islander peoples
- Australian South Sea Islander peoples
- LGBTIQ+ people
- Non-English speaking background and/or culturally and linguistically diverse people
- People with disability
- Youth (under 25)
- Women (under 45)
Meetings are held bimonthly, in person or online, for one hour.
