Rooms and services

Eventide Home provides accommodation for 80 permanent aged care residents. These include secure and non-secure units.

Each unit has a satellite kitchen which includes a fridge and a jug so residents can make tea or coffee or put together a simple snack. We have a shared dining and living area and quiet lounge areas at the ends of each unit.

Residents and their families can enjoy our gardens with BBQ areas and outdoor rotundas.

We also have a central hall for functions and gatherings, along with a chapel and an on site hairdressing salon.

Secure units

We have 30 beds in our secure units that provide dementia specific care for residents who need a secure environment.

These are single rooms with their own ensuite bathroom. Each room has a secure patio area accessible directly from their room.

Non-secure units

We have 50 beds in our non-secure units. These are all single rooms. Some have ensuites, while others share a bathroom with one other resident.

Each room has a patio area accessible directly from their room.

Find out if you're eligible

You can access this service if:

  • you're an older person who can no longer live independently at home
  • you're a younger person with a disability, dementia or other special care needs that are not met through other specialist services
  • the aged care assessment team has approved you for residential care.

Where to start

Before you can apply for a place, you'll need approval from our aged-care assessment team. They'll look at your current needs and work out if you're eligible for residential care.

You can talk to your GP or community health nurse about a referral for a free assessment.

Once you're approved, you can complete an application form and you'll go on a waiting list for a place.

You're welcome to make an appointment and we’ll show you through our accommodation.
