Patient pick up and drop off
The main drop off zone is at the main entrance of the hospital. Access is via North Street.
If you need to borrow a wheelchair, please ask a volunteer at the main entrance.
For medical oncology patients there is a drop off zone and parking at the entrance to the Cancer Services Building. Access is via Canning Street.
Parking
Our car parks are open 24/7. If you need help getting to and from your car please call the Car Park Management Office on 07 4920 7534.

The mental health car park off Quarry Street is currently closed while we build a new 32-bed state-of-the-art adult mental health facility. It will reopen in 2026.
Accessible parking
There are 21 accessible parks in the multi-level car park. These are all near the elevators. You must display an Australian or international disability parking permit to park there.

Pay stations
We have pay stations at the:
- ground level entrance of the multi-level car park
- main entrance of the hospital
- entrance of Geriatric and Rehabilitation Services.
You can use cash, debit or credit card to pay for parking.
Concessional parking
We offer concessional parking to patients or carers who:
- have a Pensioner or Healthcare Card
- have long term hospital stays or treatment needs
- need ongoing cancer or dialysis treatment
- have 3 or more hospital appointments per week
- are having financial hardship.
Renal concessional passes are valid for one year and can be reviewed and extended without filling in another application form. Cancer care passes are valid for the duration of your active treatment.
We also have free concessional parking for one palliative carer per patient. This is valid for 7 days.
Apply for concessional parking
One day parking
For single day parking, take your ticket and your concession card to the Car Park Management Office in the front foyer of the hospital. We're open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.
Multiple visits
For multiple visits, you'll need to:
- fill in a Concession Parking Application Form [PDF 195 KB]
- get it approved by a Nurse Unit Manager or a social worker
- give it to staff on the ward reception desk.
Your concession ticket will either be delivered to the ward or you, or a social worker can pick it up from the car park office.
If there isn't a reception desk on the ward, you can give your application to our Car Park Management Office in the front foyer of the hospital. You'll either need to wait while we process your application or come back and collect it.
We're open Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.
